How to Use the Idli Maker and Steamer
Prepare the Batter: Fill the recessed cavities of the idli plates with your fermented idli batter, ensuring you do not overfill them since the idlis will expand slightly as they cook.

Add Water: Pour a small amount of water into the base of the main outer container (following the manufacturer’s recommended level so the water creates steam without submerging the bottom idli plate).
Assemble the Tier: Stack the filled idli plates onto the central stand and place the entire assembly inside the main container.
Cover and Microwave: Secure the lid firmly on top, ensuring the vent is appropriately positioned, and place the unit inside the microwave. Heat according to your recipe’s required time (typically around 2 to 4 minutes depending on microwave wattage and batch size).

Rest and Serve: Let the unit rest inside the microwave for a minute or two after heating to finish cooking through steam, then carefully remove it, let it cool slightly, and gently scoop out the idlis using a greased spoon or spatula.
